Rearrangement Laboratory is an experimental model for the socio-artistic research platform. The goals of Rearrangement Laboratory are to research on Art as an alternative language and format for understanding the society, the arrangement of things, and to form a transdisciplinary and interest-dependent research condition. Our research focuses on exploring the artistic strategy and practice to rearrange the perceptions formed by social norms and to encourage alternative perspectives, which will activate public discussion and ultimately realize desirable social changes.

Jaekyung has co-established a collective called 'Rearrangement Laboratory' in 2009 with his colleague, Sohin Hwang, who is a fellow researcher at MIT.
